Ultra low-power lighting solutions

Following the launch of the new website at the beginning of the week, we’ve spent the past few days filming instructions for the DIY kits we sell.

Dave filming kits

There’s a lot of instructions to film, but we’re getting through them. Dave’s doing a stellar job, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the final videos. The set-up looks great on camera, and was pretty fun to arrange! We’ll be posting on here & on Twitter as videos go up, so keep your eye out.

We also now have a newsletter! We decided to create an email newsletter as a way for interested people to keep in the loop, in a (slightly – it is still us!) more formal way than the blog, and much less frequent. If you’d like to get in on the fun, you can sign up here.

As well as filming & newsletter-writing, we’ve also been busy sending off orders. It’s really gratifying to have orders come in from the webshop so soon after opening!

If you’re a regular reader of our blog, you’ll be acquainted with the odd music recommendations on here. You might even have noticed (and you’d get serious points for having done so!) that many of the bands I mention are all on Plan-It-X, an awesome DIY record label based in the U.S. They’re really struggling to keep going, as the way we listen to & buy music is changing. In order to reach their 20 year anniversary in 2014, they’re currently doing a fund-raising drive. If you’re into DIY music, it might be worth giving it a look – they’ve got a great sliding scale of things on offer.

In other news, BitterSweet have a delicious-sounding recipe for lemon & pepper biscotti. I reckon they’d make a great Christmas present for someone who already has all the lighting they need! 😉

Very cool stuff- You’re making me want to seriously step up my decorating game for the holidays this year! It’s never too late to add a few more lights, right?

Thanks! It’s definitely never too late for more lights, especially in the winter…although I would say that 😉
