Pretty lights

A few weeks ago, we fitted up a van with LEDs, just in time for the festival season. It was so much fun, it almost made me want my own van to tour around festivals…

The first step was the ceiling lights. We took down the tongue-in-groove ceiling and installed circuits in parallel, splitting the circuits into two sections. (This was so that it’s on two switches; one set for the back of the van, and one for the front of the van.) The ceiling lights are definitely my favourite. They’re just so pretty. They’re even on dimer switches. From the outside, it looks like this:

And from the inside, it looks like this (the woodwork isn’t finished yet):

We put extra lights by the bed (modelled by Kipper):

And there’s even spotlights in the kitchen area!:

It was a really fun job to do – we even got to play with power tools & poke around under the van! What more could one want?
